MBBS at The University of Traditional Medicine

The MBBS program at The University of Traditional Medicine (UTM) prepares high level medical scientists. The students are taught with a blend of theoretical and practical knowledge combining traditional medicine and modern methods of diagnosis and treatment. The MBBS course is recognised by the Medical council of India and attracts Indian students in large numbers every year.

The course duration is 6 years with 5 years of rigorous training with a mix of theoretical and practical classes. The last one year is for a compulsory internship. Eligibility Criteria for studying MBBS at UTM
  • The students must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31st on the year of admission to the MBBS course.
  • Applicants must have studied XIIth class from a recognized board.
  • The applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at their secondary education.
  • The students must have secured a minimum of 50 % in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • There are no entrance examinations but NEET is a must for all students applying for MBBS program at any foreign medical colleges.

Opportunities after doing MBBS from The University of Traditional Medicine
  • The students have to apply for a screening test called as Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) conducted by the Medical council of India.
  • The MBBS students after completing their course can do internship or practise medicine in India after qualifying the screening test.
  • Once the students are registered by MCI, they are eligible for private and government vacancies.
