Eligibility Criteria to Pursue MBBS in the Philippines

Following are the eligibility criteria to pursue MBBS in the Philippines:

  • The candidate must have passed Class 12th to first get enrolled in the BS degree programme Philippines (1 to 1.5 years) which is the initial phase of MD (equivalent to MBBS).
  • The candidate must have studied Biology in the previous years of studies.
  • The candidate must have a good score in NEET.
  • After completing the BS degree programme, the candidate must take the NMAT exam and qualify to compete for the rest of the MD course.
  • A minimum of 40 percentile is required to pass NMAT. However, in top medical colleges in the Philippines, the per percentile required may be higher.
